Student Training Program

Our Student Training Program provides hands-on clinical training for students pursuing degrees as dental professionals (dental hygienists, dental assistants) and nurses in collaboration with 11 schools. With funding from Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) since 2006, we train over 350 students annually. Our program encourages an interdisciplinary approach to addressing oral health disparities for underserved community members by teaching students about oral health assessment, the connection between oral health and systemic health, and culturally-competent health promotion and prevention techniques.
